Creative Writing

A note from Mrs. Day--

I am a school geek. I love everything about it and always have. I love the smells (well, most of them), the sounds (student whining is a particular favorite), and the work (believe it or not). I was the same way as a student, although like most of you, I wouldn’t admit it to anyone.

My favorite classes were always English classes and, in particular, Creative Writing classes. I wrote all the time, and I saved most of it. Today I still write—scrapbook journaling, stories for my grandkids, notes about my classes and a blog are all ways that I continue my love of writing.

I know that most of you are taking this class for an English credit. I hope by the end of the course you will have found at least some “fun” in the writing pieces we do.  I also hope that you will feel you have become a better writer after completing the class.
